Weatherford, TX — The Weatherford Cutters are proud to announce Branden Cook as the organization’s General Manager, bringing a lifelong passion for baseball and a deep commitment to the local community as the franchise begins an exciting new chapter.

Cook, a Weatherford native, steps into the role with a vision of elevating the game and creating new opportunities for both players and fans in his hometown.

“This is an opportunity to offer our community another level of the greatest game on earth,” said Cook. “It’s about delivering a program that brings a whole new level to the game and giving people something special to be a part of.”

Fans can expect an exciting and engaging atmosphere every time they step into the ballpark. “We want this to be a fun experience for everyone,” Cook said. “There will be crowd involvement, big hits, and a lot of pop. It’s going to be entertaining baseball that keeps people coming back.”

For Cook, the opportunity is deeply personal. “This is my hometown, and I want to continue on the path of growth and love for baseball here,” he said. “The chance to work with young men who are chasing the same dreams I once had is something I’m really excited about.”

Born and raised in Weatherford, Cook has dedicated much of his life to the game of baseball, contributing as a player, coach, and executive. By trade, he is a contractor, but his passion for baseball has remained a constant throughout his life.

Cook has also played a significant role in the local baseball community, serving with the Weatherford Baseball and Softball Association (WBSA) for nearly a decade, including time as president. In that role, he has focused on growing the game and creating meaningful opportunities for young athletes across the area.

“We’ve built something special with WBSA, and I’m proud of the impact we’ve been able to make,” Cook said. “We have an amazing team there that is just as excited about this opportunity to be part of something new and to continue growing the sport in our community.”

With strong local roots and a passion for developing the game, Cook is well-positioned to lead the Weatherford Cutters into a successful future centered on community pride, player development, and an exciting fan experience.

The Weatherford Cutters look forward to bringing a new level of baseball to the city while continuing to build on the strong foundation of the local baseball community.
